The Galaxy S4 in four variants – and these are the best prices – Android Planet

Friday, August 22, 2014 (13:02) | Daniel Verlaan

galaxys4 action The Galaxy S4 is one of the most popular Android smartphones in the world, where Samsung variants has been released. As his successor, now is available again, the prices of the Galaxy S4 offers are significantly lowered. But why would you opt for a half year old device?

Android Planet discusses four variants of the Galaxy S4 which one to obtain one through interesting offers, and why it is a smart choice for the Galaxy S4 current actions to use.

Galaxy S4

Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2 The Galaxy S4 is the fastest selling Samsung device ever. And not without reason: it is the first Galaxy S with a 5-inch full-HD display, which has a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. And that’s a lot, because the Galaxy S5 has the same resolution. This so you lose nothing on screen quality. The 13 megapixel camera is still one of the better smartphone cameras.

Thanks to the 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the Galaxy S4 still a very smooth phone that runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and probably still is updated. L to Android The big difference between the outer Galaxy S4 and its successor, the back: Galaxy S4 is that of smooth plastic made the Galaxy S5 has one of somewhat rougher plastic. But that will not find so many hugely important.

Galaxy S4 Mini

galaxys4 mini The Galaxy S4 Mini is the little brother of the Galaxy S4. You’ve probably heard of, thanks to the advertising campaign for Samsung where Doutzen Kroes is enabled.

The Galaxy S4 Mini features a smaller 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 960 by 540 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass krasbestendigde but the Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor and 1.5 GB of memory are more than enough to make fine. use of Android And the Mini version of the Galaxy S4 also comes with a price tag finer and cheaper offers

Galaxy S4 Value Edition

galaxy-s4-value edtion The Galaxy S4 Value Edition , which is called the Galaxy S4 VE is called, is largely identical smartphone like the Galaxy S4, but then becomes available in a special and attractive silver housing. For example, the Galaxy S4 Value Edition also a 5 inch full HD screen, quad-core 1.6 processor and 2GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera.

The main advantage of the Galaxy S4 Value Edition is the right smartphone runs on Android 4.4. If you buy a normal Galaxy S4, it is imperative that you first install a few different updates before running the latest Android version. Anyway you squint a lot of time and hassle, but saves nothing in terms of price.

Galaxy S4 Active

Galaxy S4 Active The Galaxy S4 Active is the robust version of the Galaxy S4. The smartphone is aimed at ‘active people’: that is the device include dust and water resistant and offers the Galaxy S4 Active also a sturdier design. Among other buttons are reinforced so that no sand between can come and they continue to do it too. Underwater

The Galaxy S4 Active features like the Galaxy S4 has a quad-core processor, 5-inch full- HD screen and 2GB of memory, but has “only” an 8-megapixel camera on board. Conversely You could take pictures underwater with the 8 megapixel camera. The water resistance works up to 1 meter under water for up to 30 minutes. So please do not take dives: that “he can not. But a snapshot in the pool should be no problem

The corridors with Samsung Galaxy S6 and Microsoft’s Lumia – Open

The buzzing non-stop rumors in the tech world. Run anywhere ‘insiders’ to make blurry pics of unreleased devices. So we got this week the first vague reports about the Samsung Galaxy S6 and we saw the first Nokia Lumia which no longer stands.

LG starts rolling out new tablet line

Ha! Do you see the joke in the above headline? It is about the fact that LG – literally -. Are rolling out of tablets is They want to go because during the implementation of rollable displays in tablets, according to CNet, who spoke with researchers within the company. According to insiders who bring tablets fit within the reach of the normal consumer in a tube. Must LG has a roll-to-roll production method into use – that just sounds funny in this case – and replaces aluminum wire work copper for better. For now, they use flexible screens a little for their LG G Flex and their TVs.

Why is it useful to have a tablet roll? That seems LG itself did not yet know . Takes up less space? Less fragile? We shall see.

Nokia really, really, REALLY gone

This is not a clerical error, as of Tuesday there Microsoft Lumias.

This is not a clerical error, as of Tuesday there Microsoft Lumia’s.

We have been here I do not know how many times that there are never called Nokia smartphones after the acquisition of the Finnish phone manufacturer by Microsoft. But new Nokia Lumia were each presented once again. But is it really done. On November 11, Microsoft held a meeting where they present a smartphone without even somewhere called ‘Nokia’. Microsoft’s first phone with Windows Phone. What’s that? It would be just like the Lumia (yes, that name remains) 535 which may be pictures surfaced on a Chinese social network. A lot of specs also leaked: 5 “qHD screen (with a small ‘q’, so 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage, 5 MP camera, not very exciting all

. Should I My Sint Maarten circle cancel to follow the Microsoft presentation? If the above device is the only one, I’d go for the candy. But who knows what surprise is still there.

Time for the Samsung Galaxy S6

Let’s see. Apple is defecated for this year. The Galaxy Note 4 is already on sale. The new Nexus line is known. Then we can now start hyping the next big smartphone launch, the Samsung Galaxy S6. Sammobiles is in, the Koreans fist deep and already know to report some specs. They heard an insider on a Quad-HD screen still unknown format. A 16 or 20 megapixel sensor in the camera. A 64bit octa-core processor. 32 to 128GB of storage memory. Well, exactly what you expect from a Galaxy S6.
interestingly, but also a lot blurred, the assumption of Sammobiles that the device gets a totally new design. They lead after some mental gymnastics alter the fact that the code name of the Galaxy S6 ‘Project Zero’ is. And everyone knows that Project Zero means there are new … er … no, actually we have no idea. He is likely to be presented in March, but then we go in this section still very, very often write about.

Is it metal? Again, no one knows. We can compete with all the other sites and recommend: Yes, the Samsung Galaxy S6 of metal. Are you happy now?

How to earn money fast Build a Windows Phone app and get £60 000

Microsoft is looking to encourage developers to produce apps for its Windows Phone platform, paying out vast amounts of money to get devs on board.

With the Windows Phone ecosystem still struggling to gain a serious grip on the market, being dwarfed by iOS and Android, latest reports have claimed that Microsoft is giving developers up to $100,000 (£63,000) to get high-profile app developers to turn to the Windows platform.

Sadly, this isn’t everyone’s answer for how to make money fast. Microsoft is said to be saving the big bucks to target developers with a proven track record of crafting popular, profitable applications for rival platforms, namely those made by Apple and Google.

"My friends in Silicon Valley say Microsoft has been offering $100,000 or more to companies that will build Windows Phone apps,” a reporter for Bloomberg said in a recent article. They stressed that Microsoft has paid key name developers more than $100,000 to get them to develop for Windows Phone.

Although the Windows Phone platform now has more than 145,000 apps, it still lags a long way behind iOS and Android, both of which what are closing in on the 1 million apps milestone. What is more troubling for Microsoft, however, is the continuing lack of high-profile apps that are becoming something of a must have.

With Windows Phone still a system that is frequently overlooked by developers, earlier this year rival BlackBerry suggested that although it will be bringing its BBM system to iOS and Android in app form later this summer, Microsoft’s OS is still too small to be considered.

“When we look at critical masses and we look at other mobile platforms, iOS and Android at this point in time stand out to us,” Vivek Bhardwaj, Head of BlackBerry’s Software Portfolio, told us. “We are not excluding other platforms, it is just our focus needs to be on those that can get BBM to the masses and the data shows that iOS and Android make up the bulk of mobile users around the world.”

How Apple Was Reinvented and What Team Cook Has Brought Us

In the wake of the launch of two new iPhones and also the Apple Watch, many would say that Apple CEO Tim Cook has brought the company he took over from Steve Jobs into a new era. In an extensive interview with Businessweek, Cook and several other Apple executives talked about the ways in which the company has changed in the last three years, and whats going to happen going forward.
Some of the details that come out in the interview are already well known - for instance, the fact that Steve Jobs office has been left untouched after his death in 2011. "It felt right to leave it as it is," Cook told Businessweek. "Thats Steves office."
The interview also reveals a company thats more reactive to the market. The iPhone 6 Plus in particular is a big departure for Apple, and a clear reaction to the popularity of phablets. But the Apple Watch could also fall into the same category. A lack of new product lines had been dogging Apple since Cook took over, and things could have reached a breaking point with the companys stock dropping by 40 percent last year. According to Businessweek, this made Cook "accelerate the Watch project." Apples Jony Ive told Businessweek, "Its probably one of the most difficult projects I have ever worked on."
There is also a lot of interesting detail about the changing culture at Apple. From the small, "renegade" teams that made the Macintosh and the iPhone to a large team that blends various disciplines together to make the Apple Watch, the company has gone through some clear changes.
"We would never have gotten there in the old model," Cook said. These new products are reminders "of why we exist. The things we should be doing at Apple are things that others cant."
The Watch is just one of the big new changes that Apple has brought in. The other one is Apple Pay, an NFC-based mobile payments service. Users will be able to pay for their shopping by holding a finger against the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, instead of having to take out their credit cards. The idea isnt exactly new - the concept was first extolled by Sony as far back as 1989, and NFC was approved as a standard as far back as 2003. The technology came to Android in 2010, with the Nexus S.
But Apple has been able to garner large scale support for its payment system and this could be a game changer in a way that technology alone cant be. Apple has secured at least 200,000 retail locations in the US for the launch of Apple Pay, including including Bloomingdales, Duane Reade, Macys, McDonalds, Sephora, Staples, Subway, Walgreens and Whole Foods Market. With support for credit and debit cards from American Express, MasterCard and Visa, issued by banks including Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, Citi and Wells Fargo, Apple has accounted for 83 percent of the credit card purchase volume in the US.
Apple is famous as a company that finds its own way, so to see the company working towards joint solutions, both inside and outside, is a big change. As Businessweek points out, this was not how Apple functioned under Jobs. Businessweek writes:
The company Cook inherited was broken up into specialized groups devoted to hardware, software design, marketing, and finance, all working separately and sharing little information with each other; they didnt need to because the overarching vision resided in Jobss head.
Under Cook, this would change, and he told Businessweek of some of the benefits of this change - its made it possible for features like Continuity, where you can take a call on your iPad or send messages from your Mac, seamlessly switching between your different devices.

"We would never have gotten there in the old model," Cook said. These new products are reminders "of why we exist. The things we should be doing at Apple are things that others cant."
Of course, these culture changes also brought culture clash. As Businessweek reports, some senior people left Apple because of the changes:
To one former senior designer, accustomed to spitballing sessions with Jobs to go over details as minute as the look of screen icons, the company no longer has the same allure. He says he left because Apple grew too large and that products once created in small groups are now done in sprawling teams. Others chafe at Cooks insistence on financial discipline; in meetings once devoted to the hallowed act of reviewing products, he asks managers pointed questions about spending and hiring projections, says a person involved. Staff from finance and operations now sit alongside engineers and designers in product road map sessions with key component partners.
Team Cook
The biggest changes that have emerged, it is clear, lie in the personality of the organisation. Apple might not have let go of its secrecy or high end products, but in other ways, Businessweek reports that the company has gone through a lot of change.

You can see this in the kind of responses that people outside Apple gave Businessweek for the article. Ginni Rometty, IBMs chief executive, called Cook the "hallmark of a modern-day CEO. Its all about clarity of vision and knowing what to do and what not to do." Carriers say there is more of a personal touch. "Tims a tough negotiator," said Glenn Lurie, CEO of AT&T Mobility, whos been working with Cook since before the release of the iPhone in 2007. "Hes a very consistent guy, and that makes it a lot easier to do business with him."
Cook "is comfortable enough to say we need help here, and then he goes out and gets it," said Jimmy Iovine, who became a part of Apple when it acquired Beats Electronics.
The tone inside the company is equally positive. Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple, told Businessweek that the core Apple team is not likely to fragment. "A lot of us at Apple are here because we love the products," he said. "We think we are making the best products we have ever made as a company." Other executives shared similar sentiments with Businessweek.
"I feel damn proud to be working as a part of Tims team," said Eddy Cue, Senior Vice President for Internet Software and Services. "If he gets a little bit of recognition from the outside world, that is great. He deserves a lot more than he is going to get."

Google Now beats Siri and Cortana in voice search tests

Google Now edged out rivals like Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana in a recent comparison test.

Google Now vs Siri and Cortana

A digital marketing firm claims Google Now returned more search results ‘enhanced with custom content’ than Siri and Cortana combined.

Consultants Stone Temple made 3086 queries in total to all three voice assistances. Google Now yielded a score of 1795 results with enhanced content, while Siri scored 908 and Cortana returned 630 ‘knowledge panels’

The queries were designed to answer specific questions rather than offer web results, according to Android Central, reporting on the comparison tests.

Google Now also scored highest for accuracy with 88 percent of questions properly addressed, while Siri and Cortana were correct 53 per cent and 40 per cent of the time respectively.

The study did not take into account how the respective assistants performed when it comes to making appointments via the app, or dictating words, only bringing the answers to specific questions.

Given Google’s status as global search overlord, we’d expect Google Now to come out on top in this department. While the tests are far from definitive, it still offers an interesting look at slice of a much larger pie.

Elsewhere today, Google Now got an update that’ll inform users when their bills are overdue. Thanks for nothing Google Now!
