Everything Apple Announced At Today’s iPad Event
Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage today at San Francisco’s Moscone Center to kick off the special keynote event that we’ve dubbed here as the iPad Event.
Cook began his presentation with some numbers, including the nine million new iPhone 5s and 5c models that were sold over the first weekend of availability. Cook called it the biggest iPhone launch, ever, and showed a video to underline his point.
Cook then called iOS a “bold new redesign with great new features,” and the “greatest change to iOS since the original iPhone. 200 million people downloaded iOS 7 in the first 5 days, with 64 percent of iOS devices running the new operating system.
iTunes Radio, said Cook, has 20 million listeners, and is a “fun, easy way to discover new music.” He then went on to point out the 1,000,000 apps on the App Store and the 60 billion cumulative downloads of those apps, which brings $13 billion to iOS developers.
Cook then spoke about the Mac, the “best personal computer in the world that people love to use,” calling out other companies’ confusion. Cook reiterated Apple’s clear direction and ambitious goals, as well as not slowing down innovation at Apple.
Hair Force 2? Who’s One?
Craig Federighi came on stage here (with a toned-down but still fabulous hairdo) to talk about OS X Mavericks. This is the third time since WWDC that he’s demoed the latest Mac OS. He showed off a few new features, including better battery life, saying a 13-inch Macbook Air with Mavericks will get another hour of web browsing, and another hour and a half watching iTunes video.
Phil Schiller took the stage today to show off Macbook Air and Macbook Pro models.
The 13-inch Pro model will have a retina display, weigh 3.64 pounds at .71 inches thin, have a 4th generation Intel Haswell processor, Intel Iris graphics card, and still get up to 9 hours of battery life. It ships today at $1299 to start.
The 15-inch Pro model will have all of the above, but will allow customers to choose either the integrated Intel Iris Pro graphics chip or the separate GeForce GT 750M. It will have up to 8 hours of battery life, and starts shipping today at $1999.
Mind. Blown.
Schiller then called the Mac Pro, that gorgeous little cylinder of power, “the future of the pro desktop,” citing the Intel Xeon E5 chip with a Quad, 6, 8, or 12-core CPU chips, along with up to 1 terabyte of flash-based user-accessible storage. It will be available in December of 2013, starting at $2999
Eddy Cue was next, showing off creativity and productivity suites, iLife and iWork, both of which will release for free on both Mac OS X and iOS 7 for new device purchases. Both are also available today. New versions of iMovie and iPhoto look stunning, while the new version of GarageBand on the Mac is leaps ahead of current technology. Pages, Numbers, and Keynote also get an update.

Cook then called Schiller to the stage again to talk iPad.
Announced today were the two new iPad models: iPad Air and iPad Mini.
The iPad Air replaces the new iPad and has a 4 percent thinner bezel, and has thinned down from 9.4 millimeters to 7.5 millimeters thick. It’s also an incredibly light one pound in weight, dropping almost half a pound since the previous generation. It will have the A7 chip–the same chip that powers the new iPhone 5s–along with a few new hardware improvements, like dual microphones. The new iPad Air will come in silver and white or space gray and black, and will be available starting at $499 for the 16 G wifi version, shipping November 1.
The new iPad Mini gets a retina display and a new A7 chip as well, making a quantum leap in performance over the previous generation, which will remain in the Apple Store for $299. The new iPad Mini with Retina display will start at $399 with WiFi, $529 with LTE. The resolution will be the same as the iPad Air, at 2048 X 1536 for it’s 7.9-inch screen. It will be available in both white and black starting later in November. Schiller also announced new covers and cases for both sizes of iPad, at $39 for the iPad smart covers, and $79 for the iPad cases.

Apple Released iOS 7 1 2 for iPhone iPad and iPod Touch
Apple has released a minor update, iOS 7.1.2 (build number 11D257), to bug fixes, and security improvements, repairing encryption issue of an email attachment, and fixing a bug with data transfer for third-party accessories, iOS 7.1.2 also includes improvements to iBeacon. The new minor update become after more than two months of releasing iOS 7.1.1.

Pixelmator now available on the iPad for 4 99
Popular image editing application for OS X – Pixelmator – was announced for the iPad back at the iPad Air 2 launch event. The app is now available on the App Store and can be purchased for $4.99.
Pixelmator on OS X is a full fledged image creation and editing application. It can do most of the things that you can with Photoshop but at a fraction of the cost. But most importantly, it is beautifully made and works seamlessly with the OS as if it’s a native app.
Pixelmator for iPad is built along similar lines. Right from the icon to the UI design, the app feels like something that came out of Cupertino rather than a third party developer. As with the OS X app, you can create, edit and enhance images and designed to take full advantage of the 64-bit architecture on iPads running on the A7 and A8X processors, along with ARC, Grand Central Dispatch, OpenGL ES, Core Image, and Core Animation.
Pixelmator is available for $4.99, which includes the full app with no other in-app purchases.

Belkin unveils new backlit QODE keyboards for the iPad Air
With an iPad even scheduled for tomorrow it may seem like an odd time to announce a new iPad Air keyboard but Belkin did just that. The new QODE Ultimate Pro keyboard offers an upgraded typing experience compared to the QODE Ultimate along with protection for your iPad.
The QODE Slim Style keyboard case features the same keyboard as the Ultimate Pro but the folio-style case is thinner and lighter.
The QODE Ultimate Pro keyboard is made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy in two colors – Silver and Spay Gray – and features rubber bumpers to keep the tablet screen from touching the keys.
Users called for adjustable viewing angles and an easily removable case and Belkin delivered. The detachable design also enables both portrait and landscape positions for the tablet. More responsive keys was another thing users asked for so the new QODE keyboard features wider keys with bigger pitch. They are backlit to boot, users can select between three brightness levels.
The keyboard saves energy by turning on only when the tablet is attached and the case is open. It can also pair with two devices at once.

Rumors Embarking Specs Price and Release Date of iPad Air 2
Apples WWDC is most likely to be held this year and as far as we heard, there would a bunch of products that Apple will unveil such as iPhone 6, Macbook line and new iPad Air 2.
iPad Air was huge success and received praises from all over the world, but whether iPad Air 2 will perform the same way? Lets have a glimpse on the specs that Air 2 may possess. iPad Air 2 may have an Apple A8 processor providing better speed and proficiency.

Apple iPad Plus 12 9 inch official pictures and specifications
First images and specific official / unofficial for the Apple iPad Plus display with 12.9 inches; these would be the first information on the upcoming tablet large company in Cupertino.
As reported by a few minutes on the Chinese social network Weibo, Apple will call its next tablet large iPad Plus and use a display of 12.9 inches diagonally to make such a direct competition to the new products Microsoft Surface series, which with Windows 8.1 are getting a good sales success especially in the United States and Europe.
In addition to providing a pair of images, which as you can see yourself depict the Apple iPad Plus with his younger siblings (iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 Plus) and an outline of the project, the informant also provided part of the alleged hardware specifications of the new tablet.

Apple iPad 4 Wi Fi
APPLE IPAD 4 WI-FI REVIEW
Now in its fourth iteration in two years, the Apple iPad continues its reign as the slate king. The best large tablet you can buy today, the fourth Apple iPad has it all: Top performance, a stellar screen, an improved and surprisingly good camera, speedy Wi-Fi, and a breath-taking library of apps. It really is the full package. The fourth-generation iPad looks almost exactly like the previous model, and its priced the same, too. The Wi-Fi model we reviewed comes with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB worth of storage. If you want to be able to keep apps, movies, and music on your tablet, I advise getting at least 32GB. There are also cellular versions of the new Apple iPad 4 Wi-Fi, (and yes, EE’s new 4G LTE service is supported by the iPad 4). Just like the second and third-generation iPads, this tablet has a 9.7in screen surrounded by a black (or white) bezel, with a curved metal back, and a single Home button. Apples magnetic Smart Cover, which was released with the iPad 2, clips on just fine. The tablet still has a sealed-in battery, and no ports other than a standard headphone jack. Theres a 1.2-megapixel camera right above the display in the middle of the top bezel, and a 5-megapixel camera in its traditional location on the back upper left corner. On the bottom is Apples new and compact Lightning connector, which isnt compatible with earlier accessories but Lightning accessories are starting to appear, and Im confident the ecosystem will develop quickly given how many new iPhones, iPods and iPads Apple is selling. Measuring 185 x 9.4 x 241mm (WxDxH), and weighing 652 grams, the new iPad is the same size and weight as the third-generation model. Its about 50 grams heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Google Nexus 10, but I didnt really notice that during testing. The 2,048 x 1,536 Retina resolution display is sharp, clear, and bright. At 263 pixels per inch, it beats every other tablet on the market right now except Googles Nexus 10, which offers a 300ppi, 2,560 x 1,600 10in screen. But both web browsing and gaming look better on the iPads screen because of superior software choices. In the browser, Apple picked better-looking, better-kerned fonts, and cross-platform games showed generally superior graphics and coding on the iPad. The Retina display takes its toll on battery life just as it did with the third-gen iPad. I got 5 hours and 36 minutes of video playback at full brightness, almost the same figure as the previous model. Thats still longer than the Nexus 10, which clocked in at just over 5 hours on the same test. The big battery still takes a long time to charge: Six hours on our first try, even with the new, more powerful 12 Watt charger. The new iPad, like the old iPad, runs Apples iOS 6. In the eight months since the fourth-generation iPad was released, most of the apps I have been using for testing have been upgraded to Retina versions. The OS smooths and improves standard elements within many non-Retina-enhanced apps, too, including text and embedded maps. Speaking of those maps, Apples troubles with mapping dont affect this iPad as much as other iOS devices because the Wi-Fi-only model lacks GPS. Still, if it can find Wi-Fi the tablet can determine its location, and you can of course download a third-party mapping app if you like. The latest iPad packs an Apple A6X processor which Geekbench reports to be running at 1.4GHz (Apple wont confirm or deny this). The custom-designed A6, was already one of the fastest CPUs available; the A6X enhances the A6 with even better graphics. The results are stunning. The fourth-gen iPad outmatched all other Apple products on the Geekbench and GLBenchmark benchmarks, scoring 1,768 on Geekbench compared to the iPad 3s 749. Similarly, the heavy-duty game Need for Speed: Most Wanted launched in 18 seconds on the new iPad compared to 37 seconds on the iPad 3. Yes, its more than twice as fast. With the iPad 3, I found apps that stressed the older A5 processor. That just isnt the case with the new iPad. Apples efficient software comes into play when comparing the iPad 4 against Google’s Nexus 10 too. While the Nexus 10 notched a faster Geekbench score at 2,480, the iPad creamed it on all of our actual web-browsing tests – Sunspider, Browsermark, and GUIMark, as well as when it came to timing the speed pages loaded at. I saw delays and stutters in the Nexus 10s interface that I never saw on the iPad. Updating a large number of apps went more slowly on the Nexus than on the iPad. And under heavy strain, the iPad got a bit warm, but the Nexus 10 became even hotter. When it comes to downloading, the iPads excellent Wi-Fi performance certainly helps. Using our offices 5GHz 802.11n network, I got 37Mbps down on the iPad and 23Mbps down on the Nexus 10. Both speeds are fast, but its the iPads processor and software that seem to be making the difference here. Gaming performance is significantly better on the new iPad, too. Intense games like Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Asphalt 7 run at a smooth 60 frames per second on the new iPad, and render landscapes in advance of viewing. Which was distracting. Scores on the GLBenchmark graphics benchmark spell things out. On GLBenchmarks Egypt HD On-Screen, which renders a complex game-like scene, the iPad 3 scored 22 frames per second, the Nexus 10 hit 27, and the iPad 4 reached 42. Thats a noticeable difference. The new iPad upgrades both cameras. The 1.2-megapixel front camera records 720p video; the rear camera takes 5-megapixel stills and 1080p video. The front camera takes sharp 1.2-megapixel shots, even in low light. In very low light, images get quite noisy, but thats preferable to blurry. Its 720p HD videos record at a noisy 24 frames per second in very low light, and 30 frames per second outdoors. The main camera captures sharp, clear, and well-balanced 5-megapixel images and 1080p video at 30 frames per second indoors and out. I think people look ridiculous taking photos with the main camera of a 10in tablet, but many people do so. The single speaker on the bottom of the iPad is tinny and of medium volume like most tablet speakers, but the headphone amp is impressive; I got rich, powerful sound through a pair of Monster earphones. The iPad also works just fine with Bluetooth headphones and speakers. The iPad has always been an excellent media player, and theres no change here. The high resolution screen lets you watch 1080p HD videos without downscaling, and they look spectacular. You can also output HD video to a TV either through Apples HDMI adapter, or via Wi-Fi using Apple TVs AirPlay feature. The combination of the new processor and faster Wi-Fi fix the AirPlay problems I saw on the previous iPad, too. Using a 5GHz network, I streamed a 1080p version of The Hunger Games purchased from iTunes on an Apple TV, and watched a high quality stream of Arrested Development on Netflix with no skipping. High quality racing games ran with good frame rates over AirPlay, but there was a bit of lag in the controls because of Wi-Fi latency. Apple’s new iPad is quite simply the best 10in tablet out there. The iPad’s performance is head and shoulders above the competition, and it provides a premium screen and processor to match its premium price. The iPads expansive library of tablet-focused apps is also a big tick for the Apple tablet. The Apple iPad 4 Wi-Fi adds raw speed to this equation, allowing apps more power to pump out graphics on par with that beautiful display. This emphasis on speed is carried over to Wi-Fi, where Apple has added the ability for channel bonding, which can take advantage of features found in dual-band routers to establish two connections in order to provide more bandwidth. The The Apple iPad 4 Wi-Fi also improves the front-facing "FaceTime" camera, moving away from the VGA-quality camera into 720p territory. And good news for international customers: the iPad 4 has increased support for 4G LTE networks around the world.

Apple iPad Air 2 review
Another millimeter thinner, the new iPad Air 2 has a body thats even more befitting the ethereal moniker the iPad bears second year in a row. Outside of that little fact however, the changes may not be as easy to spot. And thats hardly a surprise.
Apples laser focus on making the best tablet there is keeps the entire tablet industry moving forward. But in their camp, large strides are usually followed by baby steps and not all products end up as the breakthroughs we would have liked to see. One things for sure though, Apple certainly likes to keep us on the edge of our seats when it comes to what their next gen devices would look or feel like.
This year, the Air 2 is hardly hitting like an airstrike, but it still does a mighty fine job of keeping up the alpha male image. True, besides the slimmer profile the changes are hard to see. A nice exception is the screen, where the specs may sound the same on paper, but improvements are visible to the naked eye in terms of reflectivity and outdoor legibility.
The iPad Air 2 also has a better camera, an 8 megapixel auto focus unit, for what its worth on a ten-incher, and as usual, Apples latest and greatest chipset to make sure things are running faster than ever before.
So that about sums up the noteworthy things the iPad Air 2 brings to the table. But heres the cheat sheet of its key specs anyway and what we didnt quite like at first glance.

Due to being slimmer, the iPad Air 2 has to make do with a smaller capacity battery. We guess, its no less than an engineering feat, that Apple is able to offer the same battery life as last years. But it also forces the question, why not keep last years battery and offer longer battery life instead. Apple has its ways, we guess, some of their decisions are hard to comprehend by us, mortal users.
The Apple iPad Air 2 at HQ
Another change from last year is the intentional crippling of the iPad mini 3. The small and big iPads dont have the same internals anymore so if you are after the best iPad, theres no doubt which one that is. Seems like Apple didnt like the mini eating into the sales of the iPad Air.
