HP announces 6 new monitors including 4K 5K curved and 3D displays

HP went ballistic today with its monitor announcement, launching no less than seven of them at once. This includes some 4K monitors, some curved, one 5K screen and there’s even a 3D monitor.
The HP Z27q is the 27-inch 5K monitor with a 5120×2880 resolution, identical to the new iMac with Retina display. The monitor has two DisplayPort 1.2 inputs, four USB 3.0 outputs, tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment, and covers 99% of the Adobe RGB gamut. The Z27q will set you back by a reasonable $1,299 starting March.


Then there are the two 4K panels, the 27-inch Z27s and the 23.8-inch Z24s. Both have 3840×2160 resolution, 1.07 billion colors, and cover sRGB color gamut. Both have HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, Mini DisplayPort, four USB 3.0 ports, 1 audio out port, and tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment. The Z27s will be available in January for $749 and the Z24s in April for $549.
The three curved models include the 34-inch Envy 34c, the 27-inch Pavillion 27c and the 27-inch EliteDisplay S270c. The 34c has a super wide 21:9 aspect ratio VA panel with 3440×1440 resolution, dual HDMI (one with MHL), one DisplayPort 2.1, 8-bit color depth, 98.8% sRGB coverage, low reflective coating, and DTS Audio with 6W per channel speakers. It will be available in April for $999. The 27c has a 1080p VA panel, HDMI 1.4, MHL 2.0, and VGA port. There are also built-in DTS Audio and 4W per channel speaker system. It is available now for $399. The S270c is practically the same but has a bigger 27-inch display.
Lastly, there is the HP Zvr virtual reality 3D monitor. It as a 1080p TN panel with 3D cameras above the display that track your head movement and with the help of the passive 3D glasses, not only can you see the objects in 3D but the monitor will use real-time parallax effect to move objects around relative to the position of your head. You can also use the provided stylus to manipulate objects around. This is designed primarily for 3D software such as AutoCAD and for places like design studios, engineering labs, and schools. The Zvr has one DVI-D port, one DisplayPort 1.2, and two USB 3.0 ports. No pricing information has been announced yet.

HP Z27s and HP Z24s new monitors 4K and 5K

HP has been one of the first brands to disembark at CES in Las Vegas, and do so with a new series of high-end monitors. In addition to the curved monitors have also launched three new models with high resolution screens . Two are 4K, while the third raises the bar to 5K. They are designed for professionals looking image performance level of their equipment needs. Screens that provide very clear images, a rich tonal range and have much resolution to maximize space . The HP Z27s and HP Z24s have 4K and screens measuring 27 and 23.8 inches respectively. The model’s pointer is the HP Z27q and also has 27-inch screen, but in this case its resolution increases 5K. HP addresses the professional user with this new range of monitors. Its high resolution provides sharper images and better use of the space. Having more pixels, fit more content on the screen, allowing display more windows simultaneously without us having to strain your eyes. As we advance, the HP Z27q is the most complete team of three. Its screen measures 27 inches and has a resolution 5K, which translates to 5,120 x 2,880 pixels. This configuration results in a density of 217 ppi, very high for a monitor of this size, and has seven times more pixels than a FullHD monitor, a total of 14.7 million pixels. The screen is an IPS, which provides a clear picture from all angles. In addition, this monitor has a brightness of 300 nits and a range of 10.7 billion colors. The HP Z27q be available from next March, but has not yet announced its price.

HP also offers two 4K monitors in different sizes but with the same features. The screen HP Z27s measures 27 inches and HP Z24s down to 23.8 inches, both with 4K or UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels). The aspect ratio is 16: 9 and reproduces 1.07 billion colors in the RGB profiles and Adobe RGB. These models feature an ergonomic support so we can adjust the screen to the position that is most comfortable. The stand allows you to rotate the screen vertically, useful for work with image editing programs function. Each has multiple inputs to connect to multiple devices, including smartphones and tablets. They support MHL HDMI connection, a Mini Display Port and USB 3.0, providing a file transfer much faster. In addition, the PiP (picture in picture) function allows two tasks at the same time on the same screen. The HP Z27s and HP Z24s will be available from April this year to a still unknown price.
