iOS 7 beats up on Android Windows Phone in user experience comparison
A new report by technology consultants Pfeiffer Consulting has found that iOS significantly outranks Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry phones in user experience satisfaction. Pfeiffer didnt want user "fan" bias entering into the equation, so the company only looked at "aspects that have a direct impact on the day-to-day user experience of an average, non-technical user."
The results show that Apples iOS 6 and iOS 7 best the other operating systems in all four main categories: cognitive load, efficiency, customization and user experience friction. The results, according to Pfeiffer:
The combined results of the four different benchmarks and evaluations give iOS 7 a clear advantage in terms of overall user experience, taking into account the context defined for these benchmarks: day-to-day user experience of an average, non-technical user.If youre interested in studies such as this, the entire report is worth a read. It also demonstrates more good news for Apple and its newest iOS version.

Intel Compute Stick Turns Any HDTV Into A Windows PC
Intel has presented at the CES this year with an interesting device that reduces a complete computer with Windows 8 operating system to a device that fits in the palm of your hand. The new Intel Compute Stick is a dongle type or stick team, which has a size slightly larger than the Chromecast of Google, and to be connected or plugged directly into any screen or TV with HDMI input when turning on a computer operating system Windows 8.1, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, micro SD slot and USB port cards. It is an interesting proposal for US multinational that can be very useful as computer access, as it appears that its price will be about 150 euros approximately, or as a new type of portable PC for professionals.
The Intel Compute Stick is a small device that provides all the functionality of a PC in a small stick with HDMI connector that can be plugged into any display that has this type of digital input, which are almost all TVs and displays currently available market. As mentioned above, the Compute Stick has a somewhat larger than the Google Chromecast dimensions, and knowing that the device Mountain View firm measures exactly 72 × 35 × 12 mm, can get an idea of the size of the new Intel Compute Stick .
Taking a look at our hero, in one side we find an entry for micro SD cards, while on the opposite side we find a micro-USB connector that will serve to feed the dispositive, as the HDMI port cannot supply power. On this side we also find a standard USB port and switch. The front is reserved to the standard HDMI connector to plug the Compute Stick to your TV or any screen. Inside an cpu Intel Atom Z3735F quad core is responsible for providing the processing power of the computer. The RAM is 2GB and internal storage capacity of 32 GB. We can easily expand the internal memory by inserting a micro SD card slot, and to add or remove files from your computer have standard USB port.
Apart from the physical connections already described, the Intel Compute Stick is equipped with a WiFi for wireless port course and also features Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a feature almost essential to connect a keyboard and a mouse when using the Compute Stick. Finally, for the operating system Intel has resorted to version 8.1 Bing of Microsoft Windows. It is expected that the new Intel Compute Stick to hit the market this year, and approximate retail price should be about 150 euros.

How to earn money fast Build a Windows Phone app and get £60 000

With the Windows Phone ecosystem still struggling to gain a serious grip on the market, being dwarfed by iOS and Android, latest reports have claimed that Microsoft is giving developers up to $100,000 (£63,000) to get high-profile app developers to turn to the Windows platform.
Sadly, this isn’t everyone’s answer for how to make money fast. Microsoft is said to be saving the big bucks to target developers with a proven track record of crafting popular, profitable applications for rival platforms, namely those made by Apple and Google.
"My friends in Silicon Valley say Microsoft has been offering $100,000 or more to companies that will build Windows Phone apps,” a reporter for Bloomberg said in a recent article. They stressed that Microsoft has paid key name developers more than $100,000 to get them to develop for Windows Phone.
Although the Windows Phone platform now has more than 145,000 apps, it still lags a long way behind iOS and Android, both of which what are closing in on the 1 million apps milestone. What is more troubling for Microsoft, however, is the continuing lack of high-profile apps that are becoming something of a must have.
With Windows Phone still a system that is frequently overlooked by developers, earlier this year rival BlackBerry suggested that although it will be bringing its BBM system to iOS and Android in app form later this summer, Microsoft’s OS is still too small to be considered.
“When we look at critical masses and we look at other mobile platforms, iOS and Android at this point in time stand out to us,” Vivek Bhardwaj, Head of BlackBerry’s Software Portfolio, told us. “We are not excluding other platforms, it is just our focus needs to be on those that can get BBM to the masses and the data shows that iOS and Android make up the bulk of mobile users around the world.”

Microsoft Windows Phone 8 1 Denim update to ‘roll out soon’

The firm’s Lumia Twitter page responded to a fan that enquired as to why the update still hadn’t landed, despite promises for a Q4 2014 launch.
The post read: “It will roll out soon following testing and operator approvals.”
New features expected to ship with the software update include improved Cortana functionality, as well as 4K video support.
There’s no telling when Microsoft is actually going to release the update however, with the ‘roll out soon’ tip frustratingly vague.
Whatever the case, the Windows Phone moniker for Microsoft’s mobile operating system is running out of time.
At an unspecified time next year, Microsoft plans to drop Windows Phone entirely, instead opting for the Windows 10 tag across all platforms.
Microsoft’s platform-unified Windows 10 will bring a one-for-all app store and better cross-device functionality.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when the big Windows 10 change-up will happen either, although we’re expecting a pseudo-unveiling at Microsoft’s Build conference in the middle of 2015.
Other features of the new unified OS include desktop-friendly Cortana and the return of the Smart Menu.

Nokia Windows 8 Tablet To Be Launched
Nokia must be careful here not to make the same mistake it did when trying to enter the market of netbooks. The Nokia Booklet 3G failed miserably because of the price and I really can’t see a solid reason for its purchase. Since Nokia is all about Microsoft these days, why wouldn’t they also join hands in the tablet field?
I know that MS has been trying long and hard to come up with an iPad rival… Thus, now that the Steve Jobs official biography revealed that the iPad was in fact an idea started to tease Microsoft, the Redmond giant has all the reasons to retaliate and the hardware coming from Nokia to be able to do so.
