Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Selfie Focused Smartphone Launched at Rs 15 499


Samsung on Tuesday has officially launched the Galaxy Grand Prime in India at Rs. 15,499.
Samsung is touting the device for its 85 degree wide angle lens on the 5-megapixel front facing camera, while there is an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera also onboard.
"Galaxy Grand Prime opens a whole new world of premium mobile experience for consumers looking at uninterrupted entertainment and multi-tasking on-the-go. Introducing the new trend of Groupfie, Galaxy Grand Prime features an advanced wide angle front camera best-suited to capture group images. With the launch of this power packed smartphone, we are further strengthening our Grand portfolio," said Asim Warsi, Vice President, Marketing, Mobile and IT at Samsung India.
The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) Galaxy Grand Prime runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and pack a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) PLS TFT display. The smartphone features a 1.2GHz quad-core (unknown chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Grand Prime includes 8GB of internal storage with microSD card support (up to 64GB). On the connectivity front the smartphone includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, GLONASS and 3G. The smartphone will feature a 2600mAh battery. It measures 144.8x72.1x8.6mm and weighs 156 grams.
On Monday, the established Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom on a Facebook post suggested the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime would launch at Rs. 15,250 (MRP of Rs. 16,000).

Samsung introduces new smartphone Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo comes with a 5-inch touchscreen. Equipped with Quad-core processor 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM memory for ease of doing various jobs and multimedia entertainment. Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo supports 21 Mbps HSDPA network and Wi-Fi to surf quickly, as well as Bluetooth v4.0 to connect with a variety of Bluetooth devices. 

High Resolution Camera 
Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo is equipped with a 5 MP front camera capable of capturing high-resolution images for photo and video. You can record Full HD video with a resolution of 480 x 800 at 30 fps. With the ability to adjust the resolution on this camera that allows adjustment of the amount of capacity usage for each video file. Samsung is preparing to launch a new Galaxy Grand in India

A teaser has been released to announce the arrival of a new Galaxy Grand India. This should be the “Great” in the range. Maybe a Galaxy Grand 3 … or Galaxy Grand Max hitherto reserved for Korea.


Samsung does not usually communicate on its smartphones before their announcement. Although with its output rate instead argued, teams would soon be overwhelmed. In January alone, he presented no less than five smartphones: Galaxy Grand Max, Galaxy E5 and E7, Galaxy A7 and Galaxy J1. The honor is usually reserved for flagships S and Note range.
