Xiaomi Mi3 S800 Spotted on Antutu

The long awaited International S800 based Xiaomi Mi3 is finally (unofficially) showing off its face. While Tegra 4 based version is enjoying its time and selling quite well, no news so far towards its twin brother, the WCDMA supported version.
We wrote an article explaining the delay.

But it has been spotted on a few leaked Antutu score sheets.

Fans were a bit disappointed because Xiaomi advertised towards a score above 36 000 when they presented the Mi3 with an upgraded Snapdragon S800 8974AB. Some explained that it would because of the upgraded software, this would be the first Xiaomi device running Android 4.3 and MIUI is not optimized.

Later on, another leaked image came out more on par with what people were expecting.

But at PhonAsia.com, we really dont like those benchmarks not because we dont like numbers. In fact, we love them, our tech team is among the best out there, and we often praise ourselves for that.
There are definitive evidence that the actual benchmarks cant measure the true performance of the current devices. We are not talking about the user experience which is a totally different topic but raw power : how a chip is performing in a given structure build.

This point will be proven right to you in our upcoming Xiaomi Mi3 Review with full English commentaries. The review will be online in the following 24h.

Mysterious Jiayu Ultra Budget Phone is spotted scoring 16000 on Antutu

JiaYu mysterious device has been spotted scoring an honorable score on Antutu : 16000 which is on par with its direct challengers, especially the XiaoMi HongMi (Red Rice).

So far, what we know after those leaked photos :
- Very compact phones (those who wanted one will love this) : 125 x 62 x 9.9 mm
- 4.3" HD Display : 1280 x 720 pixels, 341 ppi
- Quad Core SoC at 1.3 GHz MT6582
- 8 MP rear Camera
- 2200 mAh Battery
- OTG and dedicated audio processor
- Dual Sim TD-SCDMA (for China Mobile 3G only)

But in this case, because the Jiayu chose to use the MT6582 which supports natively TD-SCDMA and WCDMA, a WCDMA international version should follow the original one very soon.
Oh, and I kept the best part for the end, the smartphone will be launched at a staggering price of RMB 700 ($114) which is RMB 99 less than the Red Rice.

JiaYu S1 scores over 26 000 in Antutu

The latest leaks of the most anticipated JiaYu smartphone scores over 26 000 in Antutu which is better from  the score of 23 000 in June.

The score is about the same as what is found in the Mi 2S except that the JiaYu S1 will pack a 5 inch FHD display. So overall, while using the same Snapdragon S600 supposedly at 1.7 GHz, it is an improvement.

The rest of the specs are on par with the powerful SoC, 2 GB Ram, Sony rear and front cameras (2 and 13 MP), 2300 mAh and built in NFC.
From the leaked photos, we can also see that the 3 buttons (Home, Multitask and back) got backlight.
